The permission to create a branch of the IEEE SMC Malaysia Chapter has been approved by the Registry of Societies (ROS) on May 16, 2023.
In this regard, the registration number for this approval is
PPM-001-10-25111987-000016 is based on the "Seksyen 12(6) Akta Pertubuhan, 1966."
The branch of this society is located in Melaka and is registered with the Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society.

Congratulations to the recipient of IEEE Final Year Project AWARD, Snaygah a/p Teiyagu for IEEE SMC Malaysia Chapter 2023. The project title encompasses EduVision: AI-Powered Remote Proctoring for Authentication of Remote Candidates During Online Exams. Kudos also to the supervisor, Prof. Madya Dr.Suzani Binti Mohd Samuri for good support and supervision.

This AGM is particularly important as it would be the first AGM for the registration of the Chapter as a branch, as has been discussed by the IEEE Malaysia Section and the Registrar of Societies (ROS).

14th September 2022 - The IEEE Workshop on Writing Your Article for Journal Publication was held and organized by the Postgraduate Committee of Electronics and Instrumentation, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).


Congratulations to the speaker, Mohd Helmy Abd Wahab, from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics (FKEE), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), and a representative of IEEE SMC Malaysia for the sharing tips on how to write a quality technical paper and where to publish within IEEE.



















A significant share in the Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP) was held on September 13th, 2022 by Prof. Ljiljana Trajkovic from Simon Fraser University, Canada.

The title "Machine Learning for Detecting Ransomware using BGP Routing Records" has attracted various academic audiences from Malaysia and other countries. The DLP session was also hosted by Ts. Dr. Soheli Farhana, as representative of the Executive Committee, IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, Malaysia Chapter.
Congratulations to all for organizing such a successful event. We hope we can gain beneficial input from this sharing for all lecturers and students.
